Flowers, Conifers, Wine and Roses…join us in Portland, Oregon for a fun-filled summer gathering.  You will not want to miss this event!  This is a great opportunity to meet some of the best suppliers in our industry and connect with other professionals from across the country. After a long summer planting season you deserve to get away!

We will enjoy the day at Monrovia’s state-of-the-art location in Dayton, OR. Monrovia is one of North America’s leading plant brands. Monrovia collaborates with plant breeders from around the world to introduce exclusive plants. They cultivate plant varieties where they grow best! At their Oregon nursery, we’ll see thousands of varieties being grown and get a behind the scenes look at their facility.

We will visit an Oregon winery and take in the beauty of the pacific northwest area. Our second day will include a tour and lunch at Little Prince a wholesale grower of perennials, groundcovers, succulents, ornamental grasses, ferns, and other rare and unusual plants. If you are not following them on Instagram, you should, they are one fun group!  Terra Nova Nusery is another stop, a tissue culture propagator and grower of annuals and perennials, known for popularizing new Heuchera varieties.

We will also visit Peace of Mind Nursery to take in their rare and unique conifers and see how they turn them into beautiful wreaths and garlands.  A visit to Portland wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the famous International Rose Test Garden and the world renowned Japanese Garden.

This gathering will be the perfect mix of learning, networking, sourcing and relaxing.  You will experience what it’s like to be surrounded by like-minded professionals filling you with inspiration, energy and knowledge.

Sunday-August 6, 2023

6:30pm – Kick off event-Summer Garden Party at FloraWood’s garden & studio. An evening under the stars with food, fun and of course flowers (the price of the Summer Garden Party is NOT included in the registration, full details will be released to those who register for the gathering)

Monday-August 7, 2023

8:30am – Depart Hotel (transportation is provided)

9:30am –  Arrive at Monrovia, tour the nursery, behind the scenes look at plant production, lunch, walk the display gardens

12:30pm – Depart for Durant at Red Ridge Farm Winery, Garden & Nursery Visit

5:30pm – Group Dinner-Cornell Farm, Nursery & Cafe

Tuesday-August 8, 2023

8:30am – Depart Hotel (transportation is provided)

9:30am – Tour Peace of Mind Nusery, Silverton location

11:00am – Tour Terra Nova Nursery

12:30pm – Visit Little Prince, lunch and shop the greenhouse

2:30pm –  Tour Peace of Mind Nursery, West Linn location

6:30pm – Group Dinner & Presentation by Dan Heims, owner Terra Nova Nursery-Kimpton Hotel Vintage

Wednesday-August 9, 2023

8:45am – Depart Hotel (transportation is provided)

9:00am – Tour Portland International Rose Test Garden

10:00am – Visit Portland’s Japanese Garden

12:00pm-Depart or choose to extend your stay in Portland

Registration – Digging In Summer Gathering ($450/member price, check your email for code) ($575/general price)

Registration includes transportation, admittance into gardens, wine tasting, all meals (except for the Summer Garden Party**) and events listed on the schedule. **The Summer Garden Party is not included in the registration cost, this is a separate cost. You will receive info about the event after you register.

Accommodations-

A block of rooms is reserved at Kimpton Hotel Vintage More information and booking instructions will be shared after you register for the event.

Travel Info-

You are responsible for booking your flights and lodging (a hotel booking link will be sent to you after you register). If you’d like to attend the Summer Garden Party please book a flight that arrives by 5:00pm on Sunday. For departures on Wednesday, please try to book a flight that leaves after 2pm on Wednesday.

Airport Info-

The nearest airport is Portland (PDX), approx. 20 minutes from Portland. An Uber/Lyft is a quick and easy way to get to the hotel. There is also a light rail system at the airport.

Terms-

By submitting payment, you agree to all terms listed in this agreement. All purchases are final sale.

Payments-
All payments are final and completed at the time of ticket purchase. Failure of your payment will result in a cancellation of your ticket.

Covid Clause-
You release liability to all members/parties/agents associated with Digging In Gathering, LLC. All attendees, speakers, staff, venue operators and outside vendors shall be responsible for monitoring their own health. You are accepting the risk of traveling and attending the workshop.

Refunds-
If you are no longer able to attend the gathering due to unforeseen reasons, your ticket is nonrefundable. Digging In Gathering shall not be responsible for travel, accommodations, or any other costs associated with attending this event. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged under any circumstance. If there is a waiting list for the event there may be an exception to refund your ticket if we are able to accommodate someone on the wait list.

Cancellations and Postponement-
Under extenuating circumstances, this event may be cancelled or postponed due to reasons outside of the control of Digging In Gathering, LLC. If the event is postponed or cancelled, refunds shall be given at the discretion of the owner of Digging In Gathering, LLC.
