Lunch and Learn: Holiday Pricing & Excel Workbook Template

Join us for an in-depth session on how to prepare for the Holiday season using tech tools and processes that will make your life easier! We will first go through how to break down material costs from vendors, and create a pricing sheet with markups. Then we’ll cover how to create material estimates by work area for each client. Next we’ll discuss how to include appropriate labor estimates so you don’t lose money! We’ll finish with an open discussion about how to make the workbook work best for your own company, and how it could be improved to be a better tool for the group as a whole.
This course requires some conceptual knowledge of pricing strategies, labor costs and excel to best leverage what we’re going to cover – however, we welcome anyone who wants to level up their own internal processes to join us even if it’s a little ahead of when you think you’re ready.
What you get:
Every attendee will get a blank workbook template (google sheets/excel) to customize for their own business, along with a handout with step by step instructions on how to use the template as a reference guide. Bonus – the session will be recorded, so you can always come back and see/hear what we talked through at a later date.
**This template is in its first iteration, and will continue to be modified to meet our group’s needs. The intent is to make something easy to use for all members, for all seasons, this is just a first pass.**
Assumptions:

Conceptual understanding of how to manually calculate the retail price per bunch or stem of products used for holiday installations

Proficient comfort with Excel or Google Sheets* the tool is built in google sheets, but can be exported to Excel and manipulated on a desktop

Understanding of basic formulas in excel/google sheets

Knowledge of how to calculate your hourly labor rate
